The 1260 Automatic Traverse functions the same as the 1250 Automatic Traverse but occupies a larger footprint for heavier winding applications. It is designed to interface with the 1400 Bobbin Winders to automatically lay the wire onto the work piece by traversing back and forth relative to the wire diameter and speed of the Bobbin Winder. This eliminates the operator from having to hand lay the wire onto the work piece. The 1260 Automatic Traverse is physically mounted on the 1417 Baseplate and located to the right and slightly behind the Bobbin Winder. The wire is fed from behind the Traverse, over the Wire Support Arm onto the work piece. The wire tension is controlled by a dereeler.

CHARACTERISTICS

1. Easy to operate.
2. Exact layer winding using microprocessing technology.

1260 Automatic Traverse Accessories

1428 Wire Guide Assembly

Mounts directly to the vertical post on the carriage assembly to guide wire from the dereeler to the work piece. The adjustable wire guide consists of two high strength nylon pulleys and a wire grip.

1440 Wire Tube

A small diameter tube that is mounted in place of the bottom pulley on the Wire Guide Assembly to allow fine wire to be positioned close to the work piece for better layering control.

1443 Guide Rail

Used with the 1444 Holders to provide a platform to mount several 1428 Wire Guide Assemblies for multiple bobbin winding applications. The Guide Rail replaces the vertical mounting post on the carriage assembly of the Traverse.

1444 Holders

Multiple Holders can be mounted to the 1443 Guide Rail allowing multiple 1428 Wire Guide Assemblies to be installed, to wind several bobbins at the same time.

Dereelers

Provide tension on the wire during the winding process. A spool of wire is placed on the base of the dereeler and the wire feeds through a series of spring tensioning rings and pulleys. A variety of dereelers are available according to the range of wire size and spool diameter.

Wisker Disks

Placed on top of wire spools, they work as a pre-tensioner and to keep the wire at a controlled path.
